Iris (Garcia) Wilhelm age 91 of Canton, passed away Wednesday morning. Born in Canton to the late Alejandro and Margarite (Mendez) Garcia, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Duane Wilhelm, brothers Alex and Amil Garcia and sister Rosalie Garcia. She was a 1945 graduate of McKinley High School, was the past president of the Stark County OSU Mother's Association, past president of the State of Ohio OSU Mother's Association, and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Canton. Iris retired in 1988 as a bookkeeper from Canton Sterilized Wiping Cloth after 30 years of service. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Clyde and Peggy Wilhelm of Milford, MI, brother and sister-in-law Plitz and Margaret Garcia of Bloomsburg, PA, nieces Sandy Kane of Massillon, Barbara (Jon) Baker of Oconomowoc, WI, nephew Alex (Nancy) Garcia of Cleveland and other great-nieces and great-nephews. There will be no calling hours or service. Respecting Iris' wishes she has been cremated.
