October 23, 1925 – March 19, 2015
Isabel C. (Concepcion) Blanco, age 89 of Canton, passed away Thursday. Born in Canton to the late Leonardo and Isabel (Gonzalez) Concepcion, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Blanco and sister Emelia Zoll. She was a 1943 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and a member of St. Peter Catholic Parish. Isabel was employed as a secretary from 1943 to 1990 in the First National Bank Building for the firms of B.E. Froehde, attorneys Ian Bruce Hart, L. Darrell Ake, John P. Waltz, William L. Hart, Jr, Harry N. Kandel, Glenn L. Kettering, Ian Bruce Hart, Jr, and was the Recorder for the William McKinley School of Law. She worked as a 28 year employee for Hall, Kistler and Company. She was a past volunteer for the Palace Theater, William McKinley Library and Presidential Museum, and the Stark County District Library. Isabel was past officer of the Spanish American Women's Club and instrumental in the establishment of the Spanish American Women's Club Scholarship Fund. She was a member of the Spanish American Women's Retiree Club, 55 year past member of CODI Chapter, and IAAP earning a CPS rating. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jo Anne and Terry Fearn, grandsons Eric (Jessica), Mark (Athena), Bradley (Sarah), and Brian (Carrie) Fearn, great-grandchildren; Austin, Brittany, Connor, Ryan, Chase, Lainey, Benjamin, Thomas, Jason, and Christopher Fearn, niece Claire (Pat) Addessi, nephews Joseph (Sue) Zoll, Paul (Dee) Zoll and Joseph Blanco, special relatives Manuel C. (Dottie) Ballestero and Raymond (Pam) Olivera. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit, celebrant. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Isabel's name may be made to the Spanish American Women's Club Scholarship Fund, c/o Claire Addessi, 2213 Frazer Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44709. The family wishes to specially acknowledge the caring efforts of Dr. Louis Shaheen and Dr. Charles Kraus.
