Obituary

Jack Alvin Johnson.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jack Alvin Johnson, also known by family as "Jack Alvin" and affectionately known by so many as "Old Man Jack," who was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 17, 1946, and passed on the morning of July 29, 2026.

Jack was a proud veteran, a loyal friend, and a man whose kindness touched countless lives. He was the type of person who never hesitated to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply be there when someone needed him. His generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering compassion earned him the love and respect of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Johnson, and his father, Jack E. Johnson, of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Although Jack had little family nearby, he found a home in the hearts of those who loved him. He became our family- Crystal Poirrier, Michael Burke, "Big" Jack Williams "Little" Jack Williams, Bryson Hukill, Christine Shaffer, and Nick Shaffer. They were the trio of Jacks. He shared holidays, birthdays, celebrations, cookouts, and everyday moments that turned into lifelong memories. He was not just a friend—he was family.

Jack is survived by his beloved sister, Laurel; and his cherished niece, Hillary, and her daughter, Brielle Moran; his great-niece, along with many dear friends who loved him as family and will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

Jack Alvin Johnson's legacy is one of service, kindness, loyalty, and love. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his memory will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Jack Alvin Johnson. Thank you for your service, your friendship, and the love you so freely gave. You will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

Services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 10 AM (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
