March 12, 1942 – August 9, 2016
Jack E. Stubblefield age 74 of East Canton, passed away early Tuesday morning at home surrounded by his loving family after a year long battle against cancer. Born in Canton to the late Jack and Mildred Stubblefield he was also preceded in death by his brother Robert and infant sister Linda Lou. Jack was a 1960 graduate of Louisville High School. He was a member of the Louisville Baptist Temple, Canton Masonic Lodge #60, East Canton American Legion Post #667. Jack was an avid bowler and had 4- 300 games and 2- 800 series. He was inducted into the Canton Amateur Bowlers Hall of Fame. An Air Force veteran, Jack was retired from Republic Steel after 41 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Carol Stubblefield, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Samantha Stubblefield, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Mike Gehret, five grandchildren; Zachary and Cory Stubblefield, Noah and Luke Gehret, Erika Witter, aunt Sylvia Ann (David) Wagner and sister-in-law Sharon Stubblefield. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 5:45 pm. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Harmon officiating. Internment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Crossroads Hospice for all their loving care of Jack.
