James Clay Cantrell passed away suddenly November 10, 2023, in Fort Myers, FL. Our Clay-Boy was born April 3, 1982 in Ashland, KY, attended Russell High School in Russell, KY and graduated from Jackson High School, Canton, OH. Clay ran cross-country and played tennis in high school. Clay was an avid reader, enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing and tubing, and riding the waverunner while boating with his family. Cooking was Clay's passion. He graduated summa cum laude with a BS Degree, Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte, NC, in Culinary Arts, Restaurant and Hotel Management. Clay spent 8 years cooking in Charleston, SC, and 8 years in the Denver, CO area. Most recently, Clay was the Chef de Cuisine for Angelina's in Bonita Springs, FL. Clay was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marie & Joe Brake of Knoxville, TN, and paternal grandparents Ruth & Clay Daniels of Ashland, KY.

Clay is survived by his parents Vicki (Brake) & Jim Cantrell of Fort Myers, FL, his brother Chris (Amanda) Cantrell, nephew Jonah and nieces Annalise & Eleanor, Canton, OH. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends also cherish Clay's memory.
