James G. Hindmarsh, age 85 of Canton, passed away Friday evening surrounded by loved ones. Born in Canton to the late Robert and Margaret Hindmarsh, he was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Hindmarsh, Jr., and sister Beverly Bernardon. He was a 1956 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and he was a U.S. Navy veteran. James retired from Canton Drop Forge after 40 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Geri (Doto) Hindmarsh, beloved children James (Billie) Hindmarsh, Kathy Martin, Robert Hindmarsh, 10 precious grandchildren Krissy (Derick) Estes, Jenny Tillman, Keeley Faith, Gunnar, Cole, Hannah, and Jordan Hindmarsh, Jessie (Jake) Emerling, Jeni (Matt) Witzberger, James (Jess) Watson, 14 great grandchildren Destinee and Tavarius, Kaitlyn and Colton, Elle, Robert and Emma, Noah and Gracie, Camryn and Gavin, Will and Weslyn, and Jason, sisters Carol Lee, Nancy Spielman, Sandy (Ron) McConnell, Mary Burley, Debra (Sam) Trikilas, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 16th from 9 to 11 am at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Parish of North Canton. For those who wish, memorial donations in Jim's name may be made to the St. Paul Catholic Parish, Stark County Crisis Center or Quest Services. He was a long time friend of Dr. Bob and Lois W. since 1971.
