Jim V. Magisano

God has called me, and I must leave you loving and wonderful people, on Sunday, May 24, 2015. I was born March 4, 1929 and have enjoyed a wonderful life since then. Born in St. Andrea, Italy, came to the United States with my mother and sister Ann to join our father in Canton, Ohio in 1933. I went to Belden School and graduated from McKinley High School, then attended Canton Business College. I worked for Timken Roller Bearing as an electrician, and was drafted into the Army, 1950 to 1952, served in France and Germany. Home from the Army I married my "Polish Princess" Dolores Nagel. We have lived a wonderful, happy life together for 62 years. I enjoyed working for the telephone company for 33 years. My pleasures in life were traveling and touring six different countries in Europe. I enjoyed hunting in the U.S., Canada, Alaska, and golfing. I enjoyed being a member of the Elks, Eagles, Amvets, and Sons of Italy. I survived my loving father and mother. Farewell with love and take care, we will be together with God someday. I am survived by wife, sister Yolanda Pergola, sister-in-law Carol Lee Riley, brother-in-law Alfred Nagel, nephews Tommy Riley, Chris Riley, Michael (Lolita) Pergola, and many more nephews. I was preceded in death by my sister Ann Miller and my niece Debbie Tabellion. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home and Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish, Rev. Fr. G. David Weikart celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish.
