James M. Ross, age 88, of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Jim was born on December 31, 1935 in Akron to the late James and Fannie (Testa) Ross. After graduating from North High School, he served two years in the US Navy Reserve while stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.  Jim was an agent for over 40 years with New York Life Insurance Company, and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Jim was also an avid golfer, and one of the first members of Glenmoor Country Club.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Ross.  He is survived by his children, James (Maryann) Ross, Michael (Mary) Ross, and Ann Marie Ross; grandson, Christopher Clapper; and three siblings, Marilyn (Ed) Emigh, Donald (Jackie) Ross, and Diane (Ray) Brophy.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, April 26 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Services will begin in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m.  Entombment to take place at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
