James F. Sieber, age 87 of Canton, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026. Born in Canton on June 5, 1939 to the late Durrell and Dorothy (Goffery) Sieber, he was a Central Catholic High School graduate. James after proudly served in the United States Air Force. He later retired from the Timken Company in 2000, after working as an electrician for thirty-five years.

James was an active member of Guardian Angels Parish at St. Joan of Arc Church, where he spent time as Eucharistic minister, a reader, as well as server. He was also a member of the Eagle Scouts Troupe #16 and a Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter Maria Orcutt; brother George Sieber, and sister Joan Billman.

James is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Florence (Chiaramonti) Sieber; children Bryan (Jerri) Sieber and Kathleen Sieber; sisters Judy (Dale) Simmons and Jean (David) Sedlock; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Guardian Angels Parish, at St. Joan of Arc Church. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Guardian Angels Parish - St. Joan of Arc Church.
