IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jamileh
Hilaneh
November 14, 1938 – September 19, 2025
In faith and hope of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the handmaiden of the Lord, Sister Photini Jamileh Hilaneh fell asleep in the Lord, Friday, September 19, 2025.
She was born in Syria on November 14, 1938 to the late Kaleem and Allya (Awaad) Georges. Along with her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband Elias, her brother Geryous, her sister Mariam, and her nephew Aloos. May their Memories be Eternal!
Beloved mother of Lamice (Mich), Hisham (Nectaria), Mary, Jazla, Maiy (Shannon), and John. Also survived by 14 wonderful grandchildren that she dearly loved. She was full of sweetness, kindness, and unconditional love. She emanated warmth; her home and her heart were filled with joy and hospitality. She loved God with all her heart and would always say, with her sweet accent, "Thank you God, I love you." She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
She was laid to rest at the Nativity of the Theotokos Monastery in Saxonburg, PA., on Monday September 22, 2025. May her Memory Be Eternal! In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the Nativity of the Theotokos Monastery, in loving memory of Sister Photini.
