JANET L. MAY, age 75 of Canton, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015. Born in Canton to the late Anthony and Nancy (Saracina) May, Janet was a graduate of McKinley High School. She went on to study theater at Kent State University performing in many theatrical productions and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. After graduation, Janet studied under Stella Adler and Charles Nelson Riley in NYC before moving to Los Angeles where she worked at 20 ^th Century Fox as a story editor for 20 years. She then worked for CBS Television, The Greek Theatre and actor/producer George C. Scott. Janet was associated with the Women's Care Cottage and Portrait of a Bookstore Writers' Group in Los Angeles before her retirement. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Don Holden of Port Washington, New York. Beloved aunt to Anthony Todd and spouse Rachel, Kiva and spouse Don, Brian and spouse Jacqueline, Heather and spouse Daniel, Kari and spouse Robert and 11 grand nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Adventures in Learning, a nonprofit after school program for disadvantaged children, P.O. Box 1054 Manhasset, NY 11030.
