Obituary
JANET F. (TOWNSEND) NEGLEY, age 70 of Canton passed away early Saturday, September 28, 2013. Born in Avery County, North Carolina to the late Roland and Maggie (Arizona) Townsend she was preceded in death by her son Ronald Townsend, brothers Robert and Carl Townsend, and sister Laura Hampton. She retired in 2000 as an in-home nurse's aid. She is survived by her children Laura Weimer, Tina Negley, Lisa McCormick, Bill (Lisa) Negley, Rolin Walter Negley, Dennis Neitz, fiancee' William Nichols, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brother Thomas (Patricia) Townsend, sister Christine Townsend and numerous nieces and nephews. There were no calling hours. A private family service was held.
