JENNIE D. (DiFIORI) GUARDABASCIO, age 94, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at Hanover House in Massillon, Ohio on January 25, 2013. She was born on February 10, 1918 to the late Casper and Antionetta DiFiori. She loved spending time with her family for Sunday spaghetti dinners. She had a heart of gold, and was the most selfless and soft hearted person that anyone would have known. Jennie was a cake decorator and was employed by Morford's Bakery, LaVerne's Bakery and later retired from Martin's Pastry. She always made special cakes for her family and enjoyed bringing pastries to everyone. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert "Cheech" Guardabascio, her brothers, sisters and their spouses; Thomas (Ann) DiFiori, Angelo (Rosalee) DiFiori, Johnny (Theresa) DiFiori, Joseph DiFiori, Helen (Roland) DiMichele, Mary (Joseph) Guardabascio, her wonderful son-in-law , Nicholas Streamo, Jr. and loving grandson Jerry Novak, Jr. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law: Patricia A. Guardabascio-Novak, Jean (Mike) Poulelis, and Janet Streamo, grandchildren: Tana (Sean) Garaux, Sherese Streamo, Danielle Streamo, Nick (Amanda) Streamo, Diane Poulelis, Athena Poulelis and Michael Poulelis, great-grandchildren: Brandon, Codey (Amanda), Tyler, Nicholette, Hannah, Abigail, Ella, Eric and Brittany, and numerous nieces and nephews. As per Jennie's and her families wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private service will be held for the immediate family per their request and burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family request that donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
