Jennie R. (Martino) Leone

Age 90 of Canton passed away, surrounded with her family on April 6, 2016. She was born on August 6, 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses and Amelia Martino, sisters & brothers-in-law, Mary (Vic) Cusano; Roccina (Paul) Bennett; sons-in-law, Denny Amigo and Lew Moore; Grandog, Prince Bailey. Jennie is survived by daughters, Jean Amigo and Jennifer Moore with whom she resided at their home. Grandchildren, Denise (Ric) Leone; Gina Amigo; great granddaughter, Tia Leone; granddogs, Jake, Lulu, Dog; nieces and nephews, Rock (Trish) Cusano; Vic Cusano; Ann (Dan) Stroia; Becky (Larry) North; Paul (Kathy) Bennett and many loving great nieces and nephews. Jennie graduated from Lincoln High School. Her parents owned and operated the Dueber Flower Shop in Canton. Working with the family business, she learned how to design flowers. After graduating she worked at the Timken Company in the Blueprint Department. While raising her daughters she then worked at Brettean's Cafeteria as an Assistant Manager for 28 years and retired in 1978. Her interests included visiting family in Ocean City, Maryland and traveling to beaches and casinos. She loved her family and granddogs more than life itself. She was full of laughter and loved life. Jennie was a previous member of Sons of Italy and Red Hat Society. A special thanks to caregiver and friend, Sandy Bowling; Dr. Rochelle Richardson; Nurse (Interim Health Care), Jennifer Clayton.
