January 13, 1931 – March 2, 2016
John "Jack" David Faur, 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 2, 2016. He passed away peacefully at his home with his loved ones by his side. He was preceded in passing by his father, Nicholas Faur and his mother Augusta Faur (Christe) from Romania. John moved to East Canton where he was an outstanding athlete at East Canton High School, earning varsity letters in football, baseball, and basketball. He graduated in 1949 and was signed to pitch in the Cardinal's minor league organization. He entered the United States Army in 1951 and served with honor in the Korean War through 1953. He returned home to East Canton and began work at Stark Ceramics Inc., where he was employed for over 40 years until his full retirement in 1999. He married Rose Faur (Vasquez) of Alliance and had two children, Lori and David, in 23 years of marriage. He was remarried in 1972 to Freda Faur (Campbell) until her passing in 2011. John was preceded in passing by his sister, Ethel Faur. His younger brother, Joseph Faur, lives in St. Louis. John was a devoted Christian family man, avid Ohio State and Cleveland sports fan, as well as a wonderful friend and neighbor to all who knew him. He is survived by his daughter Lori, son David, stepson Michael Ingold and his wife Marcia and granddaughter Jamie, and great-grandchildren Edgar, Travis, Gabrielle, and Carmen. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have life everlasting." A private memorial service will be held at Rossi Family Funeral Home on Saturday, March 12, 2016. 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Family Fellowship, 12:00 – 1:00 pm Memorial Service.
