Obituary

John Harry Hadjian, December 3, 1927 – October 14, 2013 John Harry Hadjian, of Canton, Ohio, was the first born to Haricklia and Haralambos Hadjian. He took the glorious trip home to be with the Lord, at the age of 85. After a long battle, as a gallant warrior, he left behind his worldly troubles to enter paradise. John Hadjian, always devoted to his Greek heritage, lived without complaint, as a fiercely devoted family man and perfect gentleman. He was a passionate and talented gardener, as well as a music lover. John Hadjian attended Lincoln High School and went on to study at Kent State University. He served his country in the Korean War, from 1952-1954. He joined together with his bride, Maria (Mary) Vaitsis on June 19, 1955. They moved to California that same year, where he formed a construction company called K & H Construction, named after their two children, Kinthea (Hadjian) Cooper (married to Steve Cooper) and Haricklia Maria Hadjian. He worked hard to provide for his family as an expeditor, during his employment at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company from 1966 – 1988, when he took medical retirement. He loved and cherished his two grandsons, Christopher (married to Emily) Cooper and Sean (married to Jamie) Cooper and granddaughters, Stephanie and Lindsay. He was thrilled by the addition of his great-grandson, Tristan. John Hadjian was the first-born of five, followed by Anna (Ann Hadjian) Economos, Thomas Hadjian, Mary (Hadjian) Anastas and Sophia Hadjian. He left behind numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. He was a generous man who loved deeply and was deeply loved. Pay respects at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, October 17, 2013, followed by the funeral. The burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
