John P. Herberghs, age 94 of Canton, passed away Monday evening at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Maastricht, Netherlands to the late Johan and Luisa (Dobbelstyn) Herberghs he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. John was a member of the Royal Dutch Marines which brought him to Washington DC where he met his wife. He retired in 1980 from the Ford Motor Company after 32 years of service. He loved vegetable and flower gardening and polka dancing at Rolando's. John is survived by his wife Audrey (Esber) Herberghs with whom he would have celebrated 70 years of marriage in July, children John (Donna), Jeff (Beth) Herberghs, Laurice Herberghs, grandchildren Chris, Bryan, Carin, Todd (T.J.), Justin (Camille), Jonny, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours or services. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice.
