JOHN E. "ZEKE" KOTEMA, age 90 of Canton, passed away Friday evening. Born in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Michael and Mary Kotema he was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Gambone) Kotema, great-granddaughter Ashley Jagger, brothers Joseph, Paul, Steve, sisters Agnes Mancini, Helen Lepore, Mary Ciconti and Joyce Kotema. A graduate of McKinley High School, John was an Army veteran of WW II. He was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish, Canton Ex-News Boys and the McKinley Eagles Aerie #2370. John was retired from WL Jenkins Company. He is survived by his children Cheryl (Ken) Woofter of North Canton, Annette (Jim) Morgan of Canton, John Kotema of Canton, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters Ann Montgomery, Jane Leavenworth, and brother Nick (Rose) Kotema all of Canton. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish.
