Jonanne’s dedication to her profession began early in her life when she graduated from Mercy School of Nursing and furthered her education by graduating top of her class and summa cum laude with a BSN from Walsh University. As a registered nurse, Jonanne demonstrated deep commitment to those under her care, often working beyond her regular shift; she later became the unit manager on the orthopedic floor at Timken Mercy Medical Center. Her dedication to nursing continued after retirement working as a specialty nurse for the Neurocare Center.
Throughout life she was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Browns, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. In high school she was a competitive roller-skater who enjoyed traveling around Ohio, practicing her craft and winning many competitions. In her career, she loved to stay active and was a member of the TMMC golf and tennis leagues. Later in life, she was an avid walker and gardener who always looked for an excuse to enjoy time outdoors. Jonanne also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Jonanne is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Joseph Schiavone; children John (Anne) Schiavone and Joann (Paul) Paeglis; grandsons David Schiavone, Joseph Schiavone, and Nicholas Paeglis; granddaughters Katie (Keith) Posendek, Kristina (Tom) Gorbett, Logan Paeglis (fiancée Jonathan Curtis); and great-granddaughter Gabriella Gorbett. Also survived by her brother Edward LeChot, her sister Kathleen (LeChot) Bradley, and other family members and friends.
Jonanne was rooted in her Catholic Faith. Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Servant Parish at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
