Joseph M. Barnett, age 90 of Canton, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Hanover House. He was a life resident of Canton, and a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish. Joe was drafted into the U.S. Army, and honorably serviced his country during WWII. He was awarded six ribbons and two bronze stars. He was retired from Commercial Motor Freight after 20 years of service. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mary Barnett, and his wife Angie. He is survived by his daughters Carol Dolph and Jane Barnett; son and daughter-in-law Joe and Becky Barnett. Also survived by granddaughter Jennifer Ewell; three great-grandchildren Clay, Cale and Carly. Joe was a loving husband and father. Family and friends will be received Tuesday morning at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish from 10:30 a.m to 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski as celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Joe's name, to St. Jude Children's Hospital or The Alzheimer's Association.
