IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph J.
Bell
August 2, 1941 – September 24, 2024
Joseph John Bell passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center after a brief illness. He was the fourth child of John and Catherine Bell, born on August 2, 1941. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Bell, Robert Bell; sister, Mary Zerbe; brothers-in-law, Dominic Rex, Timothy Petry and Marvin Yoho; and sisters-in-law, Theresa (Koller) Rex, Polly (Kamp) Bell and Barb (Angello) Bell.
Survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart of 61 years, Raeanne ("Tish" Rex) Bell; sons, Patrick (Jackie) Bell of Norton, Jason (Marilyn) Bell of Stow; daughters, Stefanie Bell, Colleen Bell; and "grandbabies" Raina Quickel and Laila Fraley. Also survived by brother, Chuck (Barbara) Bell; sisters, Judy Essik, Betty Snyder of Wooster, Jean (Harvey) Craft and Caroline Yoho of Massillon.
Joe was a graduate of St. Joseph Elementary School and Central Catholic High School, class of 1960. He was a self-employed barber and upon retirement opened a used car lot in which he enjoyed the challenge of restoring his "treasures" and "wheeling and dealing" to make a sale. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, spending a year in Vietnam 1967-68 during the height of the war. He was so proud of his family and eagerly embraced his roles of husband, father, "Popo", brother, uncle and friend and enjoyed when his nephews fondly recalled receiving their first haircuts from Uncle Joe.
Joe will always be remembered for his quiet manner, gentle spirit, deep faith but most of all for his most generous and loving heart. We will cherish his memory and love in our hearts forever.
Calling hours will be at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Friday, October 18th from 5-7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 19th at St. Paul Catholic Church, North Canton, 10 am. Burial at Calvary Cemetery with military honors.
Memorial contribution may be sent to Sancta Clara Monastery, Stark County Right to Life or Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
