Joseph T. Cappello, age 87 of North Canton, passed away early Sunday. Born in Canton to the late Thomas and Helen (Rosso) Cappello, he was a member of Christ the Servant Parish and an Army Air Force veteran of WW II serving in the 71 ^st AAF Base Unit. A graduate of McKinley High School and the University of Toledo School of Pharmacy, Joseph worked as a local pharmacist for 40 years. He was an avid flower gardener. A member of the Ben V. Marconi Sons of Italy Lodge #1628, he loved his Italian heritage. He enjoyed researching his Italian roots and speaking the language. He is survived by his wife Madelene (Cazzolli) Cappello with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 18 ^th , sons and daughters-in-law Thomas and Angela of North Canton, Joseph and Tina of Dover, five grandchildren; Thomas Cappello Jr, Ashley (Andy) Todd, Kelly, Katie, and Izabella Cappello, great-grandsons Anthony Young, Evan Todd, brother and sister-in-law Robert and Mary Jane Cappello of Canton. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home where the Sons of Italy will hold services at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Christ the Servant Parish with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano, celebrant. Interment will be in Northlawn Cemetery.
