Obituary

Joseph Mahon, fabulous father, avid fisherman, and professional photographer passed away Wednesday, October 9 th, 2013 in a bicycling accident. Born in Canton on September 20, 1953, Joe graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas and attended the University of Akron. Joe was a creator, a giver, and a friend. He had a thriving career as owner of Mahon Commercial Advertising Studios in Canal Fulton. He loved fishing, scuba-diving, skiing, cycling, and even growing elderberrys for his own pies. His gentle way did more than create advertising, it sculpted a large group of friends and family who will miss him dearly and cherish the many memories created together. Because of Joe, many lives were richer. His smile will be dearly missed. Joe is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Spigelski) and children, Daniel, Neale and Allison; his siblings, Jim, John, Jerry (Buck), Jane and Jennifer, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Maurita Mahon. The family will receive friends this Sunday 4-7pm in St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic church, with a memorial mass to follow there on Monday morning at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anthony/All Saints and the N.E. Ohio M.S. Society.
