IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Josephine Ann
(Volpe) Kullman
September 4, 1930 – January 23, 2022
Josephine Ann (Volpe) Kullman, age 91 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was born in Canton on September 4, 1930 to the late Joseph and Laura (Brunoni) Volpe. Josephine (Josie) graduated from Lincoln High School in Canton, Class of 1948. She went on to raise seven children while helping to support her family by working in various jobs throughout most of her life, ending with her retirement from the Frito Lay company. She was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish, and a past member of the Ben V. Marconi, Sons of Italy Lodge #1628; she enjoyed line dancing, playing bocce and she never turned down a good wine. Josie connected with everyone she met – no one was a stranger to her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Kullman; infant daughter Josephine; brother Anthony Volpe; sisters Theresa Bitzel, Francis Fowler, and Mary Moody; and her beloved Godchild Kathy Speros-Bitzel.
Josephine is survived by her children Joseph (Diana) Kullman, Janet (Earnest Ward) Kullman, James (Cynthia) Kullman, Joyce Willis, Janine (Tim) Ortiz, Jeff (Dana) Kullman, and Jason (Emily) Kullman; grandchildren Micah, Teah (Josh), Mikayla (Aaron), Anna, Chloe, Luke, and Logan; and great-grandchildren Rendor and Lydia. Josie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews all of whom held a special place in her heart.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the team of ladies who assisted in the love and care of our mother over the past year and to the team from Homestead Hospice for their support.
Family and friends will be received at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 29th. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. in the church, with Rev. Fr. Tom Kraszewski as celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Parish.
