(Yannone) Rossetti
November 12, 1926 – February 23, 2022
Josephine L. (Yannone) Rossetti, age 95, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 23rd. She was a life resident of Canton. Lifetime, faithful member of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish, a member of the Miraculous Medal Solidarity, where she served as President, Secretary, and Treasurer, bereavement team member, lector, home bound minister for many years, member of the Craft Ladies Group, prayer shawl, and bake sale worker. Josephine also helped at the Feast Day Festival and the Italian-American Festival. She volunteered at Aultman Hospital and St. Joseph Care Center for several years.
Josephine graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944. She married Rudy Rossetti on May 3, 1947 and was married for 43 years until his death in November 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Lucy (DiBenedetto) Yannone, four brothers, William, Edward, Anthony, and Nick Yannone, three sisters, Linda Natale, Bertha Mareno, Adeline White, and several cherished nieces and nephews. She is survived by two sons, whom she greatly adored, Michael (Michaela) and Dennis (Sandi) Rossetti, four grandchildren, Allison (Martin) Tagge, Christine (Steven) Tartt, Michelle Rossetti and Mark (Rosediane) Rossetti and five great grandchildren, Emily and James Tagge, Ethan, Owen and Evan Rossetti. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. in the church, with Rev. Fr. Tom Kraszewski as celebrant. Masks are required. The funeral mass will be live streamed at the St. Anthony/All Saints Facebook page. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery beside her beloved husband, Rudy. Rest in Peace, we love you Mom.
