Joshua M. McGarry, age 29 of Canton, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014. A life resident of Canton, Joshua attended Canton McKinley High School and went on to graduate from The University of Akron Cum Laude with an Intervention Specialist Degree. He taught in Akron and Canton for the past 5 years, most recently at the Akron Digital Academy. Strong, confident, courageous, Josh was loved by his students and the children he tutored. He was a kind and loving father, who devoted every waking moment providing for his family and watching over and caring for his mother and sister. Josh had a quick smile and a generous heart. He and his Dad enjoyed playing guitar and riding their Harley motorcycles. Josh will be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Richard McGarry. Joshua is survived by his fiancee Kahla Stouffer, their children Joshua M. McGarry II, SunShine DayDream McGarry, mother Debra (Allard) McGarry, sister Amanda (McGarry) Taralla of Canton, paternal grandmother Betty McGarry of Ormond Beach, FL, maternal grandparents Leon and Carolyn Allard of Lake City, MI, uncle Bill Allard of Lake City, MI, aunt Karen Baker of Wheeling, WV, and numerous other aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at noon. Interment will be in Warstler Cemetery.
