Josie P. DePerro, age 85, of Canton, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017. She was born in Wellsville, Ohio to the late Benjamin and Thelma Corbisella on January 18, 1932. She was a graduate of Alliance High School, a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, the Afternoon Garden Club and the Cancer Survivors Group. She worked as a secretary for the Auto Club Insurance Company. Josie also volunteered at St. Michael's and at the Poor Clare Monastery. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Richard DePerro; sisters Mary (Do) Conny, Pauline Liberti, Virginia (Gigi) Samuels and infant sister Marie Corbisella. She is survived by her children Jeff (Sally) DePerro of Marblehead, Ohio, Scott (Annie) DePerro of Peninsula, Ohio and Rebecca (Jim) Kempthorn of Canton, Ohio. Also survived by two sisters Carmela Lolli of Canton and Teresa Erchick of Alliance; grandchildren Jason (Ming), Tyler, Nathan (fiance Tiffany), Kathryn, Gigi and Ryan; and four great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (3430 St. Michaels Blvd. N.W. Canton, OH 44718) from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Don King as celebrant. Entombment will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care Center Hospice.
