Joyce Wall Lewis, age 80 of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, July 31 st , 2019 of complications brought on by lingering illness. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on November 4 th , 1938 and raised by her late parents John and Othetta Wall in McPherson, Kansas. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jeffery Wall. Joyce is survived by her children Dean (Martine) Lewis of Florida, David (Kelly) Lewis of Canton, and Merry Lewis of Wisconsin. Also, Joyce is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Brent and Sue Wall of Kansas, and seven grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew. Joyce had many hobbies including painting and music. She was a Hawaiian dance instructor, an accomplished pianist, as well as a lover of art, music, and nature. To aid children with speech impediments, she co-invented a Roof-of-the-Mouth-Insert (ROMI) appliance. First and foremost Joyce was a loving mother who cherished every moment with her family and children. She always strove to make lasting memories and teach life lessons. Though her later years brought on weakness and confusion, Joyce "Mom" Lewis will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
