Kevin S. Murphy, age 64 of Massillon, fell asleep in death Monday evening after an extended illness. Born in Canton to the late Ray and Mary (Boles) Murphy, he was preceded in death by his sister Diana Murphy. He was a 1969 graduate of Oakwood High School, member of the McKinley Eagles and the Jehovah's Witnesses Massillon East Congregation. Kevin retired from Republic Steel in 2002 after 30 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda (Eckles) Murphy and father-in-law E. Raymond Eckles. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home and Friday morning from 10 to 11 am with services following at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Kevin's name may be made to the Jehovah's Witnesses Massillon East Congregation, 2177 Nave Rd. SE, Massillon, OH 44646.
