Laura G. (Woodard) Williams, age 93 of Canton, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026. Born in Slade, Kentucky to the late Charles Bryan and Sylvia Russel (Spurlock) Woodard, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 74 years Roy Gerald Williams, daughter Brenda Williams Spees, four brothers and two sisters. Laura was a member of Sherman Church of Christ and as a minister's wife, was heavily involved in church activities including the Ladies Missionary Society. She earned an Associate Degree from the University of Akron in Realty. She worked at J.C. Penny, then as a manager for Society National Bank and Key Bank, retiring after 18 years. She received a BNB in retail management from BancOhio's School of Retail Management. Laura also worked in home health care for three years. In her retirement, she worked in the gift shop at Bok Towers. Laura is survived by her children Jonathan (Carol) Williams, Karen (Daniel) Dyke, son-in-law Peter Spees, seven grandchildren; Heather Loving, Alissa Baez, and Colin Dyke, Stephanie (Phil) Collier, Kelly (Danny) Scarito, Scottie Scarito, Hollie (Alex) Johnson, five great grandchildren, sister Mila Laudick, and sister-in-law Patricia Williams. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 10 to 11 am at the Canton Christian Home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Laura's name may be made to the Christian Appalachian Project in Paintsville, Kentucky.
