Lavern "Vern" J. Pauly, age 87 of Canton, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018. He was born in Canton on June 16, 1931 to the late Frank and Julia Pauly. Vern was a Timken Vocational High School graduate, and served our country as a Marine in the Korean Conflict. He then retired from the U.S. Steel Corporation in 1982. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Vern is survived by his children Doug (Joan) Pauly, Lisa (Terry) Brown and Kim Lopez; eight grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Vern's name, to the charity of your choice.
