Mrs. Leslie Ann Dayton Windberg, age 58 of Jefferson, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Windberg was born on December 27, 1960 in Canton to Richard and Monica DeChiara. She was preceded in death by her father, mother-in-law and father-in-law James and Roberta Windberg, and sister-in-law Jaymi Kudary. Leslie loved her dogs, the beach, the mountains, and gardening. She enjoyed making Indian art and will always be remembered for her good heart. Leslie is survived by her husband Greg Windberg of the home, son Sean Windberg and fiance' Brooke of Orlando, Florida, her mother Monica DeChiara, sisters Karen McKelley, and Marsha (Barry) Black, brother Bob Dayton all of Canton, grandson Jackson Windberg of Orlando, Florida, half sister Dorcas Moseley of Orlando, Florida, brother-in-law Chris (Debbie) Windberg, sister-in-law Cyndi (Bob) Schobalch all of Ocala, Florida, and sister-in-law Michelle (Harold) Miller of Orlando, Florida. Leslie will be missed by her dogs Grace and Bryce. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 10 to 11 am at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at 11:00 am, Rev. Fr. Edward Beneleit officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
