(Rea) Frustaci
December 22, 1942 – November 6, 2022
On November 6, 2022, Linda Marie (Rea) Frustaci, age 79, passed away in the afternoon surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born in Canton to the late Felice and Antoinette (Betro) Rea. A 1960 Central Catholic High School graduate, Linda went on to graduate from Mercy School of Nursing in 1963 to begin her passion of helping others as a Registered Nurse. She began her career working in the private practice for Domenico Iero, MD and ended her career as Director of Nursing at the House of Loreto. Linda was a member of Little Flower Catholic Parish and belonged to the Mercy Alumni Association as well as the Sant'Andrea Card Club.
She is preceded in death by her in-laws, Vincenzo and Caterina Frustaci; brother Joseph Rea; brother and sister-in-law Antonio and Rosa Frustaci; and brother-in-law Carmen Papaleo.
Linda is survived by her husband Benedetto Frustaci, whom she recently celebrated 56 years of marriage with; children Vince (Jennie) Frustaci and Cathy (George) Letosky; grandchildren Benedetto Frustaci; Ella and Georgie Letosky. Sisters-in-law Dolly Rea and Annina Papaleo; brother and sisters-in-law Marcello and Barbara Frustaci and Frank and Mirella Procopio along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Linda was a talented and a beautiful woman with a generous heart. She enjoyed shopping, playing bocce, baking and cooking. In keeping with her cooking talents, she worked alongside her husband and brother-in-law and sister-in-law at the Frustaci Italian Grocery and Catering business and enjoyed catering many weddings in Canton. Linda was a devoted Catholic and was faithful in praying her rosary daily for everyone who was in need and for peace in this world. With all the love that she gave, her heart belonged to her three grandchildren that were the joy of her life, whom she loved with all her heart.
Linda will be missed by her family and friends. We know her positive outlook will live on in those that she loved and loved her.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at The Basilica of St. John the Baptist, with the Very Reverend John E. Sheridan, STL-Rector. Following Mass, entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to give a sincere thank you to the medical staff at the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital ICU team that cared for Linda in such a compassionate and professional manner during her final hours.
