Louis "Snooki" Scrima age 87 of Canton, passed away early Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Born in Canton to the late John and Rose (Pope) Scrima. Louis was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Helen Scrima, with whom he spent 61 wonderful years together. His siblings were Phillip Scrima, Mary Scrima, Lucille Garofalo, Florence Milano, Josephine Scrima, and Anne Sergi. He was a proud 1949 graduate of McKinley High School where he played football. "Snooki" was an excellent and well-known golfer in the Canton area who loved the game. Louis was an Air Force veteran stationed in Iceland. He owned and operated Lou Scrima's Barber Shop for over 50 years. He is survived by his daughters Rebecca Jean Slingluff and her fiance' Willis Thomas, Elizabeth Amireh, grandchildren, Ashley Jean Slingluff, DJ Amireh, sister-in-law Betty "Dolly" Kester and her son, Ross Jordan and nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
