Lucille F. (Brady) Hanle, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2018, at The Pines Healthcare Center in Canton, Ohio. She was born in Canton on November 10, 1924 to the late James F. and Helen (Kulesza) Brady, the middle girl in a trio of Beautiful Brady Sisters. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1942. In her youth she loved swing music and the Moonlight Gardens at Meyers Lake; then she moved to California during World War II and learned to love the Pacific Ocean. After the war, she returned to Ohio, and Family became her focus. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Robert L. Hanle; and her sister Eileen Stevens. Surviving are her children: daughter Leigh (Moses) Shaheen; son Curtis R. (Erin Cusack) Hanle; son Gregory (Karen) Hanle; and daughter Karen (Donald) Pescitelli; as well as her sister, Jean Seidler. Also surviving are grandchildren Deborah (Jonathan) Cortez, Matthew (Kimberly) Shaheen, Thomas (Monica) Shaheen, Zachary (Tyra) Hanle, Jessica (Robert) Bowles, Michael Hanle, Ariel (Richard) Clair, Brittany Ramsey, Ian Ramsey, Camille (Josh Amsler) Ramsey; great-grandchildren James (Amanda) Brandt; Estevan Cortez; Evan, Madeline, Ella, Ruby, Lucy, and Opal Shaheen; Curtis Z. and Brooklyn Hanle; Amelia Bowles; Mia Clair; Kai and Wyatt Kampf; and Luna Amsler; great-great-granddaughters Leah and Zoey Brandt; and numerous nieces and nephews. In her prime, Lucille could make magic from various needles and pieces of yarn, fabric, or wool. She made clothes for daughters and dolls, sweaters and mittens and scarves and braided rugs, for which she won Blue Ribbons (and Grand Prizes) annually at the Stark County Fair. But her true element was water. Lucille was happiest when when swimming in a lake, pool, river, or ocean with some or all of her family. She lived on Hutchinson Island in Jensen Beach, Florida, right between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean, for more than 20 years, most of them in a bathing suit. Into her 70s and 80s, she was always ready to body surf or play with grandchildren in the water. We all will miss this independent, joyful water sprite tremendously. The last words she said were "I love you all." We are so very grateful for the loving care she received from the kind and dedicated caretakers who looked after her for the past ten years: Curt and Erin; Diane and her remarkable team, including Evelyn, Becky, and Angela; The Pines, especially Alma and Michelle; Dr Diana Brewster; and Harbor Lights Hospice who helped so much in making her final weeks peaceful.
