(Milkovic) Fladung
January 6, 1925 – March 15, 2014
Lucille C. Fladung, a woman deeply rooted in family and faith who loved to laugh, left us on Saturday, March 15. She was 89. Lucille was born Jan. 6, 1925 in Canton, where she lived the rest of her life. She was baptized, received First Communion, was confirmed and was married at Canton St. Paul's Catholic Church, where she attended mass faithfully for decades. In her later years, she became a parishioner of Christ the Servant. Lucille graduated from McKinley High School. She worked for more than 30 years as a meatpacker at Sugardale. Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, James, as well as her parents, Anton and Sophie Milkovic, brother Emil Milkovic and sister Ruth Drozda. She is survived by her sister, Marie Niemeyer, of Bremen, Alabama. She also is survived by daughters Judy (Don) David and Nancy (Ralph) Dublikar and son Thom (Jeanette) Fladung. Lucille is survived by grandchildren: Melanie (David) Impastato, Christian (Jill) David, Danielle (Lionel) Weaver, Amanda (Michael) Mazza, Justin (Danielle) Dublikar, Randy (Jessica) Dublikar, Ellen (Gary) Kenst, Eric (Angela) Dublikar, Kayleigh Fladung and Jimmy Fladung. She also is survived by an ever-growing clan of great-grandchildren: Samantha, Carson, Sophie, Jack, Gavin, Dylan, Payton, Ava, Vivian, Madeline, Jillian, Jacob, Lucie and Tony. And Lucille is survived by dozens of beloved nieces and nephews. Calling hours 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossi Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the Servant (Our Lady of Peace) church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas High School or Our Lady of Peace Elementary School. The family would like to particularly thank Drs. Paul Manuszak and Julie Oberly, the staff of The Alsation, St. Joseph Care Center and the doctors, nurses and aides on the 4th and 5th floors of Aultman Hospital. Your care and service to our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt will never be forgotten.
