Lucrecia P. Surgeoner, age 86 of Canton, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was born in Taunton, Massachusetts to Anthony and Alice Braz. Lou was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School. She was a Beautician, employed by Corrine's for many years. She was a member of Christ the Servant Parish. She enjoyed tennis, watching her grandchildrens' events, and hosting holiday gatherings.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Al Braz, sister Delores Petrack, and son in law Joe Pukansky.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Jim Surgeoner; daughter Carolyn and Bill Gadow; grandchildren, Pukansky family - Joe, Laura, Madison, Zachary, Carter, and Holleran family - Luann, Steven, Brett, Garett; brother Norm Vierra; and many nieces and nephews.

Her loved ones are most appreciative of all the prayers, love, and support from Lou's extended family and dear friends. Special thanks to all her caregivers for their compassionate and attentive care: the staff at The Landing, Little Flower Family Practice, and Crossroads Hospice.

Family and friends will be received at Rossi Family Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Masks are required and social distancing will be practiced. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with Msgr. Lew Gaetano officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
