LUCY (POLSINELLI) BIRONE, age 94 of Canton, passed away Thursday. Born in Akron to the late Dominick and Concetta (Trimarco) Polsinelli, she was preceded in death by her husband John P. Birone, daughter Mary Minnitti, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish and a former member of the McKinley Eagles where she and her husband loved to go dancing. Survived by her children; Tony (Joyce) Birone, Connie Salvino, John (Pat) Birone, Christine (Joseph) Donofrio, son-in-law Patrick Minnitti, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 6 to 8 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Jeff Stealey celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Harbor Lights Hospice. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Harbor Lights Hospice and the staff of Hospitality House for their loving care and concern.
