Lucy A. (Garcia) (Smith) Shankle age 96 of Canton, passed away early Friday morning. Born in Meadowbrook, WV to the late Raymond and Delores (Pelaez) Garcia, she was preceded in death by her first husband Warren Smith Sr., second husband Wilmer Shankle, son Warren D. Smith Jr., brothers Raymond, Louis, Angel, Manuel, and Julio Garcia, sisters Helen Tunon, Angeline Garcia, and Mary Szerokman. Lucy was a member of Christ the Servant Parish. She was employed for 22 years as a parcel post clerk for Ecko Houseware Products. Lucy enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter-in-law and caregiver Linda Smith, grandsons Jeffrey Smith, Craig (Laurie) Smith, three great grandchildren Alana, Ryan, and Julia Smith, brother John Garcia, sisters Alice Spotleson and Rhoda Garcia. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 11:00 am, at Christ the Servant Parish with Rev. Fr. Scott Kopp celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
