Lucy "Lou" Ziccardi, age 80 of Canton, passed away Sunday evening. Born in Canton to the late Antonio and Mary (Marchesciano) Ziccardi, she was a life resident of Canton. She was a former member of St. Paul Catholic Parish in Canton and currently a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. Lou was a 1953 graduate of Timken Vocational High School. She worked for Big D's Supermarket for 20 years and then as a unit assistant at Mercy Medical Center for 25 years, retiring in 1996. Survived by her brothers Angelo (Sherry) Ziccardi of Louisville, Donald Ziccardi of Uniontown, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, Lou was loved and supported by many, many friends. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Lou's name may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish, Humane Society of Stark County or the Domestic Violence Shelter.
