MABEL H. DeSTEPHEN, age 92 of Canal Fulton, passed away February 23, 2018. Formerly of the Navarre area, she was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. When Mabel's husband Ed retired after working for 41 years at Timken Company, he always said she also was retired. They enjoyed going out to eat daily at all their favorite restaurants. Always with a warm smile on her face, family visits for hours around the kitchen table, known for her coveted winning bingo card, Mabel will be greatly missed. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Ric and Kathy of San Antonio, Texas, Dan and Martha of Dayton, Ed and Debbie of Canal Fulton; grandchildren Mike (Angie) DeStephen of Dayton, Jessica (Ryan) Gialames of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ian DeStephen of Canton, Ben (Kate) DeStephen of Hilliard, Matt (Stephanie) DeStephen of Hilliard; great-grandchildren Kaitlin and Hannah DeStephen of Dayton, Brian and Emily DeStephen of Canton, Evelyn, Owen, Harper, Heidi and Holden DeStephen of Hilliard; great-great granddaughter Hannah DeStephen of Dayton; sister Joanne (Dan) Riegler of North Canton; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents James C. and Mildred F. (Johnson) Hatfield; husband of 61 years Edward A. DeStephen, Sr.; son Anthony J. DeStephen; granddaughter Laura DeStephen; brothers Walter J. and James C. Hatfield. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Clement's Cemetery in Navarre.
