Obituary

Margaret "Marge" C. Carbone, age 98 of Canton, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. She was born in Canton on March 5, 1924 to the late Riccardo and Yolanda (Giovanelli) Peloso. She was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish, the Miraculous Medal Sodality, St. Anthony's Craft Club, and the Bereavement Committee. She served as a Eucharistic minister. She loved to go bargain shopping, collect dolls and angels, and embroider with the Silver Needle Club. Marge worked for the Palace Theater, W.T. Grant, Heinke Children's Clothing Co., and A.C. Towel where she was the assistant manager for her husband. She also had an incredible gift as a supreme cook of traditional Italian food and delicacies which she loved serving to her family and friends every holiday and simply just because.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Carbone; daughter Jessimina Carbone; daughter-in-law Lucille Carbone; brothers Angelo and Frank Peloso; Joseph (Lucille) Carbone, Anna Carbone, Rose Marie Carbone, Jennie (Anthony) Gialluca, Madeline (Robert) Miller, Katherine (Jack) LaVoy, Judy (Sollie) Frustaci, and Dolores (John) Kalman.

Marge is survived by by her sons Harry Carbone of Bradenton, FL and Michael (Mimi) Carbone of Charlotte, NC; daughters Yolanda A. Curtis of Massillon and Ann (Howard) Stark of North Port, FL; grandchildren Bryan (Theresa) Stark, Michelle (Adam) Barger, Jennifer (Steven) Curtis-Bradley, Stefanie Curtis, Daniel (Penny) Curtis, Kip (Nikita) Carbone, Michael (Liz) Carbone, Chase (Claire) Carbone; and eleven great-grandchildren. She also leaves her cousin Neda Moreno whom she considered a sister, as well as Mary Lou (Joseph) Conversino and Peter (Ruth) Carbone.

Family and friends will be received on Monday at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish from 10 to 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin in the church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the St. Anthony/All Saints Parish.
