Marianna (Marchinsky) Gore age 83 of Canton, passed away Thursday afternoon. Born in Akron to the late Akifty and Anna (Kalufant) Marchinsky, she was preceded in death by her brothers John, Mike, Sam, Steve, Elmer Marchinsky, sister Sophie Jolly and adopted daughter Michele Orlando. She was a graduate of Akron East High School. Marianna retired in 2002 from Frito-Lay. She was an animal lover and often donated to the A.S.P.C.A. Marianna is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Donald Gore, children Suanne (Dale) Pettit of the Philippines, Sherri L. Gore, Donald A. Gore, John G. (Linda) Gore, Ronald A. Gore, adopted daughter Janine Orlando, ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 5 to 7 pm at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 7 pm, Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop officiating.

Marianna worked at Aultman Hospital in Food Service six years and moved to Houston, Texas with Donald as he had accepted employment with WKM Industries. While IN Houston Marianna was employed by Texas Instruments and with Frito-Lay. She retired from Frito-Lay in 2002 and returned to Canton, Ohio.

She loved animals and for many years Marianna and Don adopted and cared for dogs and cats, but mostly dogs. For example - Sadie, a black Lab that belonged to their son Donald stayed for about three years with Marianna and Don and lived to be 18 years and three months old.
