MARILYN J. (BROWN) MAHON, age 83 of Canton, passed away Sunday morning after an extended illness. Born in Canton to the late Clancy and Pearl (Saunier) Brown, she was preceded in death by her brother Clarence Brown. Marilyn was a 1949 graduate of Timken Vocational High School who never received below a grade of A her whole academic life. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Marilyn had beloved craft friends of 30 years who quilted, played cards and shared stories. She is survived by her husband Howard C. Mahon with whom she would have celebrated 65 loving years of marriage on July 2, 2014, daughter and son-in-law Kathy S. and Edward Katich of Cambridge, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Michele Mahon of Louisville, grandchildren Matthew Katich, Amy Katich, Mark Mahon II, Adam (Monica) Mahon, great-grandchildren Zachary Katich, Bryan Katich, Rachel Katich, Brayden Mahon, Addison Mahon and sister and brother-in-law Janice and Charles Lazzaro of Florida. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home with services to follow at 1:00 pm, Pastor Diana Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Marilyn's name may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Boy's Town, American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
