Marissa M. (Akers) Winland of Beach City, passed away tragically on the evening of her 36 ^th birthday, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, June 28, 2018. She was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Helen Akers, and infant son, Evan Paul Escott. Marissa is survived by her husband Norman "Scott" Winland; children Isaiah Bursey, Destiny Winland and Aiden Winland; step-son Justin Winland; sisters Jennifer and Shayna Akers; brothers-in-law Mike Winland, Brad Winland and Brian Winland. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. Marissa was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She was a strong, dependable, hard worker who spent her life always giving to others, and now she is at rest. Marissa was so deeply loved by her family and friends; she will be greatly missed by all of us. Family and friends will be received on Friday at the Rossi Family Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Rossi Family Funeral Home to help defray the cost of the funeral.
