Mark C. Schafer, age 68 of Canton, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024. He was born in Canton on March 25, 1956 to the late Ralph and Juliana (Stubavi) Schafer. Mark was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School, and later became the owner and operator of Waco Automotive as a master mechanic. He was a member of Christ the Servant Catholic Parish, and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.

Along with his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Leasure and infant sister Rita. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Vicky of Canton; children Marcus Schafer (Mikayla Kenneway) of Lyndhurst, Ohio and Matthew Schafer (Carly Calabrese) of Highland Heights, Ohio. Also survived by brother Joe (Jane) Schafer; sister Ann (Dan) Berg; brother-in-law Mike Leasure; Godfather to Chris and Katrina; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home Sunday, July 7th from 3 to 5 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday at Christ the Servant Catholic Parish at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations, in Mark's name, may be made to Christ the Servant Catholic Parish.
