Marlene Mancini Frost, 89, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, surrounded by family at the Inn at Whitewood Village in North Canton. She was born in Canton, Ohio on June 17, 1935, to Clara (Sarno) Mancini and Samuel Mancini. She graduated from Timken High School in 1953. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University and Master of Arts in education from Pennsylvania State University. She began her career in art education as head of the art program at Massillon High School. Marlene then moved on to Louisiana State University where she held the positions of Visiting Professor and Acting Chairman of Art Education. She returned to Ohio to assume a faculty position in Kent State University's School of Art where she eventually was promoted to full professor. In addition to her teaching duties, she served as artistic juror and guest lecturer for various art shows and events. Marlene expressed her creative talents through the mediums of paint, fiber arts and batik. Her work has been displayed throughout Ohio and numerous states. Marlene also completed extensive study and participated in exhibitions throughout the world to include Mexico, Europe and a Sabbatical in Tehran, Iran.
Marlene will be remembered for her love of family and her Italian heritage, compassion for others and great sense of humor.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Anita Hart (Gerry) and brother Eugene. She is survived by husband George Frost, nephews and niece Kevin Hart, Keith Hart (Jeannette), Dante Mancini (Rebecca), Monica Hart and great niece and nephews Maria, Keith, Jonah and Aaron, to whom she was a wonderful, loving aunt to all!

A private service for family will be held at the Rossi Family Funeral Home.
