Martha M. Anastas (Boyajian), age 92, passed away August 11th 2016 after an extended illness. Martha was born on September 25 1923 in Canton, OH to Jacob and Mary Boyajian (Keoshian). She attended Timken High School and graduated in 1941. Martha and Taso were united in marriage on June 5 ^th 1949. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where she spent many years as a Sunday school teacher. Martha worked at numerous department stores throughout the years including Polsky's and Kobacker's. She had a keen sense of fashion and was always stylishly dressed. She enjoyed dancing with her husband Taso and trips to Atlantic City with her brother John and sister in law Lillian. Martha enjoyed entertaining for her family and thoroughly enjoyed hosting Greek Easter and Christmas Day. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Taso Anastas, son Gary Anastas, and three younger brothers, Arthur Jacob, Edward Paul and John Moses Boyajian. She is survived by her brother in law Frank Rizzo and sister in law Lillian Boyajian, Special nieces Cindy (John) Berbelis and Linda (Denny) Ellenberger, and numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A private memorial service was held at Rossi Family Funeral H ome with Rev. Dr. Daniel Rogich officiating. Interment followed at Forrest Hill Cemetery where she was laid to rest alongside her husband, son, and parents. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of St Luke Lutheran Community, the staff of Senior Independence Home Health & Hospice, and also to Fr. Dan for his kind and comforting words.
