Martha L. Smith, age 90 of Massillon, passed away at her home on Monday, January 15, 2024. She was born in Bolivar, Ohio on July 31, 1933 to the late Arthur and Bertha Hess. She retired from Westbrook Rehabilitation Center, and was a member of Canton Nazarene Church. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards and baking, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband Paul Smith; son Dave Smith; daughters Patricia Sams and Carole Smith; eight sisters; and one brother. Martha is survived by her children Jennifer (Brian) Milburn of Dover, Paul (Christine) Smith of Carrollton, and Brad Smith of Canton; twenty grandchildren; sixty-six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; as well as sisters Loretta Jacobs of Indiana, Mary Swanson of Indiana, and Derrlyn Ford of Dover.

Funeral services will be held at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10 a.m., with Pastor Jeff Dayton officiating. Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
