Martha Jane Brown, age 83 of Canton, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 after a brief illness surrounded by her family. She was born in Kirby, Pennsylvania on April 6, 1938 to the late Paul and Marie Thompson. Martha began to work for McDonald's Co. in 1974, and continued working until her retirement in 2008 after 34 years as a manager.

She was an avid QVC shopper, who will be sadly missed by them. She enjoyed eating out with her many friends, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

Along with her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her two brothers William and Dan Thompson. Martha is survived by her children Frederick (Joanne) Brown of Port Orange, FL, David (Barbara) Brown of Port Lucie, FL, and Susan (Joe) Moauro of Canton; nine grandchildren Nathan (Shannon) Brown, Taylor (Thomas) Ward, Colin (Mahitha) Brown, Anthony Moauro, Joseph Moauro, Mary (Chris) Coverdale, Matthew (Chelsea) Moauro, Anna (Zev) Brawn, and Dominic (Maria) Moauro. Also survived by eleven great-grandchildren Evan Brown, Abbey and Joe Moauro, Aubrey and Chase Coverdale, Laken Moauro, Zev and Zoe Braun, Monroe, Willow, and Meadow Moauro; sister Mary Ann Folmar; brothers Connor (Janie) Thompson and Charles (Terry) Thompson.

Martha's children would like to thank her McDonald's friends for their constant support, as well as a special thank you to Aultman Hospital ICU nurses, doctors, and Aultman Compassionate Care Center.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in Martha's name, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Family and friends are invited to gather for food and fellowship at St. Joan of Arc Social Hall after the calling hours Wednesday.
